# Getting started with Help Desk

Before starting with the Genuity Help Desk, we recommend taking a moment to [set up the Help Desk](/v1/docs/help-desk-setup).

### Introduction

Help Desk provides a great way to manage your work in your company. Each segment of work is represented in a ticket. A ticket contains information about who requested the ticket, who is assigned to do the work, the description of the work, and much more. The information collected in each ticket can be customized to fit your company's needs.

The information collected in each ticket can be customized to fit your company's needs. Each ticket was created by completing a form for a ticket. This form is called a custom form. A custom form represents one ticket type you have, and a company can have one to many custom forms.
