# Salesforce Documentation

**Use the Salesforce connector to track license count and match usage details to spend for Sales Cloud.**

Genuity’s integration to Salesforce enables advanced utilization tracking and license management.

Genuity approaches license management from a per-user basis, showing connections between individual users, their license type, and utilization data across the entire company.

Simply follow the instructions below;

If you have a Salesforce account with following editions you can integrate the account with Genuity.

- Enterprise Edition
- Unlimited Edition
- Developer Edition
- Performance Edition

Step 1: Please **login**to Salesforce account

Step 2: **Go to Users** -> profile from main dashboard

Step 3: **Select particular profile** from whom you want to integrate and click on edit

Step 4: Go to the Administrative Permissions section and **mark API Enabled to give API access**.

Step 5: **Click the Save button** and now you’ll be able to integrate Salesforce with Genuity.

Syncing with **Salesforce********requires an administrator account** that is used to authorize the Genuity application to access your Salesforce license details. But don't sweat it, the Salesforce admin account that you use is never sent to Genuity, it is a direct web authentication to Salesforce that **enables the Genuity application with read only permissions**.
